Les Fohl

lesfohl Les Fohl
This might bore you to tears, but for those who want to get a feel as to whom they will be dealing with when they work with me, here’s a quick idea.
I really appreciate you coming far enough into my site to see “who the heck is Les Fohl and why would you even care….what can I do for you that any other agent can’t?” Pretty good question to ask when dealing with something as important as real estate.
I was born in Oakland California in 1955 and started life in a 2 bedroom apartment in the Lockwood Gardens Housing Projects near 65th and East 14th Street. Without my Father in our home, my Mom managed to make things work  for my sister, my 2 brothers and me. We relied on food stamps, welfare, and a lot of prayers. While I wouldn’t wish that situation or enviornment on anybody,  looking back now, I realize that it was the perfect way to start life, as it has allowed me to appreciate both ends of the spectrum.
In 1967 my Mom re-married, we moved to San Lorenzo, and I graduated from Arroyo High in 1973. While attending there, I excelled in music, winning top competitions playing my trumpet. As a result, I was invited to play to audiences in Belgium, France at the end of my senior year. I also pole vaulted, setting school records that lasted for nearly 15 years. Oh, and I delivered newspapers in the morning, pizzas at night, and I saved. Like a dog.
After graduating, I worked in a warehouse. And I saved. Like a dog. Then, as fate would have it, in 1974, at 19 years old, and with a few thousand dollars saved up, I bought a house. 28066 Thackeray Avenue, off Tennyson Road in Hayward. I fixed it up, and in 1976 I sold it at a profit. WOW! So I bought another one at 25890 Stanwood Avenue, also in Hayward. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, business-wise, but I liked what I was seeing, and it felt comfortable; almost natural.
In the fall of 1976, on a fluke, I attended an introductory real estate licensing school, and by February 1977, I passed my salesperson’s exam. Well, I immediately quit my job, joined Century Grove Way, under my first Broker, Rex Hays and I’ve never looked back.
I opened my own Brokerage at age 25 and have gone on to learn this business inside and out. I’ve bought, fixed, and sold hundreds of units personally; represented countless buyers, sellers, and investors; and been fortunate to recieve nearly every award for production, and earn every designation for professional education possible along the way. In 2001, Re/Max presented me the top award for all 7000+ of their agents in all of California and Hawaii, and further recognized me as #17 in the U.S. and #19 in the world. As a result of all of this, I’ve been fortunate to have the exciting opportunity to speak to thousands of agents in several states over the years, and enjoy sharing what it really takes build relationships that create ‘Client’s For Life”!
More recently, on February 13, 2011 the Bay Area News Gruop ( publishers of the Oakland Trbune, Contra Costa Times, Daily Review, etc.) published an article that said “Les Fohl was recently recognized for his outstanding production in 2010, placing him as the no. 1 Realtor above all other agents in the Bay East Association of Realtors Central County market (Hayward, Castro Valley, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo). This accomplishment was recently independently verified by California’s No. 1 Company for managing MLS/Agent data.”  While I obviously love this kind of recognition, the truth is I have never strived to be No.1. I’ve just kept educating myself, growing as a person, and working hard to deliver expert service with a caring touch to my friends and clients.
My experience and track record over the past 34 years has provided me with a distinct advantage over most Realtors in the area when it comes to serving and advising my clients in their real estate endeavors.  My primary goal for my clients is to provide a “WOW” experience.  As my client I want you to feel confident and comfortable knowing that I know how to help you achieve your real estate goals. When you listen to me, and follow my advice, I know I can make your transaction as stress free as possible. Because my foundation is built on client satisfaction, I will do whatever it takes to make it happen! I listen, understand and find solutions.
If you are “under water” on your loan(s), feeling stuck, losing sleep, and have the weight of the world on your shoulders, I can bring relief almost magically. I understand Short Sales forward and backward, and have the resources to provide you with QUALIFIED legal and/or tax advice. I can guide you through the process, avoid foreclosure, and minimize or eliminate legal or tax liabilities
If you simply want or need to sell, you’re not under pressure, and your goals are simply top dollar, in a reasonably short time frame, without a bunch of problems, I’ve built my reputation delivering these things over and over. You’ve probably noticed my signs throughout the area. If not, now that you’ve read this far, I bet you will starting almost immediately.
If you are a first time buyer, or an investor, you will really appreciate my knowledge of what to do in order to capitalize on the tremendous oppportunities available in the midst of all the craziness we’re currently experiencing in this whacky market.
Once you work with me you’ll realize why my clients continually refer their friends and family my way. When choosing a Realtor,  just like choosing a Doctor, Attorney, CPA, or any other valuable professional, you have a choice. Work with someone getting to know the business, someone pretty good, or somone proven over time. If you are the type who prefers the latter, you will quickly see the benefits I bring to your table.

Thank you for reading this. It tells me you are taking your Real Estate thoughts and objectives very seriously. When we talk, you will intuitively feel that I take them and YOU seriously as well.

Be blessed,

Sincerely and professionally yours,

Les Fohl
